Okay, but you have some alcohol, right?
Nope. All of our drinks are non-alcoholic. The vast majority have 0.0% alcohol content. Some items, like beer and wine have less that 0.5%, which is about the same as a ripe banana.
Why do the beer and wine have some alcohol?
They wine and beer we carry have been de-alcoholized. This means when they were made they were made like typical beer and wine, then went through an additional process to have the vast majority of alcohol removed.
I am sober and nervous about trying NA drink, what should I know?
Before opening we held focus groups including one with people from the sober community and received a lot of feedback we've used to shape our approach.
We get it and we're here for you. We're transparent about alcohol content in our drinks right on the menu so you can order at your comfort level.
If you order a drink and it is a bit too triggering for you for your relationship with alcohol please let us know and we'll find something that work with you better.
Can I bring in my own food?
No. Due to health codes we are not able to allow outside food or drinks. We do have some light food available and plan to partner with local food trucks to offer meals during trivia nights and other special events.
Can I bring in alcohol?
No. Due to local health code you are not allowed to bring in any drinks, including alcohol, into our building. In addition to health code, that is just not what our space is about. You'll be asked to leave if you bring in alcohol. This includes social district cups.
Are non-alcoholic drinks healthier?
In general, yes! The NA version of beer, wine, and cocktails contain about 50% fewer calories. Plus, our cocktails avoid adding excess sugars and other similar ingredients like typical bar "mocktails."
Who do you serve?
We welcome everyone who is sober, sober-curious, looking for a night out alcohol free, or maybe just waiting to sober up a bit before driving home.
Where are you located?
We are in Downtown Kalamazoo of the Mall at 202 S Kalamazoo Mall. You may know it as the V&A Bootery building. Zero is located inside Kalamazoo Candle Company's new flagship location.
Do you have live events?
Yes! Every Wednesday and Friday we have live music. We focus on smaller groups that are not too loud so you can still have a conversation.
We also do trivia every Tuesday.

Is there any entertainment in your bar?
Yes! We offer live music, trivia, comedy, and a whole lot more. In addition, since we're located in Kalamazoo Candle Company's store you can also make candles and other craft items if you'd like.
How do the prices compare to alcoholic drink or other bars?
Our cocktails, beer, and wine are comparable to similar styles of bars. Ranging from $8-15.
In many cases, the ingredients to make non-alcohol drinks are more expensive than their alcohol included versions. For example, the wine and beer start out with alcohol in them and go through an extra step to remove the alcohol.
Is Zero closely affiliated with any other businesses or organizations?
The owner of Zero is also the owner of Kalamazoo Candle Company. Aside from charitable partners in the community (501c3 organizations), Zero is not affiliated with any other organizations.
Are Kids/Teens allowed?
Yes, as long as they are with a parent/guardian. Many of our drinks may only be purchased by someone 18+ but we do have items available for anyone younger to enjoy.
